IP Litigation

The partners and staff at Bredenkamp Attorneys have substantial litigation experience in all litigious matters relating to Intellectual Property.

We advise and act in patent, trademark, domain name disputes, copyright, registered design, unlawful competition and related disputes.  Disputes are heard in the High Courts of South Africa as the court of first instance for almost all IP matters, or in the Court of the Commissioner of Patents, a specialist patent court or, in some cases, before the  Registrar of Trade Marks or Commissioner of Companies.

We also advise and act in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) matters.  We have extensive experience in arbitration and mediation proceedings, as an alternate dispute resolution forum to High Court proceedings.
